The national Uniform Evaluation (UFE) is the annual exam, set and administered by the CICA Board of Evaluators, that CA candidates must pass.
The UFE takes place over three days every September. The first day is a comprehensive case evaluation, and days two and three consist of several multi-subject questions. The results are released in late November or early December.
UFE Prep (Module 6) is specifically designed to prepare CASB students for the evaluation, though preparation begins in Module 1. CASB students who have completed the work experience requirement and passed the UFE are eligible to apply for membership with a provincial institute of Chartered Accountants. (Students applying to the Institute of Chartered Accountants of BC are required to complete specific professional development courses before they are admitted to membership.)
